Common problems and solutions of fiber fusion splicer

    1. After turning on the switch of the optical fiber fusion splicer, the screen is not bright, and after opening the draft shield, it is found that the horizontal lighting on the electrode holder is not bright.

     Solution:

1〉 Check if the power plug socket is properly inserted, if not, re-plug it.

2> Check whether the power fuse is disconnected. If it is broken, replace the spare fuse.

     2. The optical fiber can be reset normally, the screen becomes dark during the gap setting, there is no fiber image, and the screen display stops at "set gap".

     Solution:

Check and confirm whether the draft shield is pressed in place or the reed is in good contact.

     3. After turning on the optical fiber splicer, "Battery is exhausted" appears on the bottom of the screen and the buzzer beeps continuously.

    Solution:

1> This phenomenon generally occurs when the battery is used for power supply, just replace the power supply.

2> Check if the power fuse box is tightened.

     4. The fiber can be reset normally. When the gap is set, the fiber appears on the screen but stops, and the screen display stops at "set gap".

     Solution:

1> Press the "Reset" key to reset the system.

2> Open the draft shield and open the left and right pressure plates respectively. The following checks are performed in sequence:

3> Check if there is any fiber break.

4〉 Check if the fiber cut length is too short.

5〉 Check whether the fiber loading slot matches the optical fiber. And deal with it accordingly.

     5. The optical fiber can be reset normally. When the gap is set, the optical fiber continues to move backward, and the screen displays "set gap" and "reinstall the fiber."

    Solution:

May be caused by excessive dust deposition on the eyepiece of the microscope in the optical system. Wipe the eyepieces of the horizontal and vertical microscopes with a cotton swab stick. Observe no obvious dust with your eyes and try again.
