Problem Attic is a free service that allows you to quickly create practice tests and flashcards for social studies, language arts, mathematics, and science.Problem Attic makes it easy to create practice assessments and flashcards. To create your practice tests on Problem Attic you simply create a new document then browse through questions and pin them to your document. After you have pinned all of the questions that you want in your document you can arrange the order in which they appear in your document. TagMyDoc is a tool that allows you to apply a QR code to Word documents and PDFs that are stored on your computer. Upload your document then TagMyDoc creates and applies a QR code to it. You can print the document with the QR code on it or simply project the QR code for your students to scan and get a copy of the document on their mobile devices.

This site has checklists for each gradecurriculum corner level that breaks down every strand of the standards. These checklists will help you keep track of what you covered. There are also student checklists under the Classroom Management tab to document student progress. Although this site refers to them as "checklists," as teachers, we're not only concerned with adequate coverage of content, but also with the progress that students are making toward attaining the learning goals within the Standards. A simple rubric or notes as an addendum to the checklists could help to improve the data you gather as you assess the learning. In addition to the skill checklists, there are downloadable activities to help you reach your instructional goals. Embedit.In (part of Box.net) is a nifty online tool to convert most file formats to embeddable code for wikis, websites, blogs and more. Once embedded, you can write on them with an onscreen pen or highlight. When you upload the document and push 'embed', it provides a code to be copied and shows what the file will look like when it's embedded. I have 5th graders use it to embed their projects into their wiki pages. I teach them how to save MS Office files to pdfs (through the 'save as' button) and then convert the file to an embeddable format for their digital portfolios. Here's all you do: Log in using your Google, Twitter, Open ID, Yahoo, WordPress or AOL identity. I like that. One less log-in to remember. Upload the file Wait a moment while it processes and copy the embed code to the clipboard Paste the html code into the widget or embed code (or the html format for blogs) button and save.

Through Google Docs Demos you can try out the presentation, spreadsheet, drawing, and document tools of Google Docs without signing into a Google Account. Getting everyone in a group signed-up for an account can be time-consuming.
