When it comes to finding math resources for students, it is sometimes a little harder than 1, 2, 3. For teachers or parents who want to find great resources that won't cost them a penny, here are some websites where you can find math resources and activities for free!

DOGONews is an online news and web resource for elementary school children, aged 5-10 and a publishing platform for aspiring reporters ages 9-15. "DOGO" (not DoGo), means young or small in Swahili. The website consists of three sections: News, Sites and Earth.

misterteacher.com offers interactive standards-based activities for students in the areas of math, science, and social studies. Teachers can find resources to enhance their SMARTBoard lessons and activities. Printable activities and worksheets are located throughout the site. Also includes mini-movie animations.

" Great videos for all subjects and grade levels. Very quick registry/log in and you can make your own folder online to save videos for each year.

In February, 1997, Susan Brooks and Bill Byles began a collaborative effort to extend assistance to fellow teachers. In November of 2000 that project expanded to a web presence known as Internet 4 Classrooms ("i4c"), a free web portal designed to assist anyone who wants to find high-quality, free Internet resources to use in classroom instruction, developing project ideas, reinforcing specific subject matter areas both in the class and at home and even for online technology tutorials. The portal is used by teachers, parents and students of all ages on six of the seven continents (there are not many classrooms in Antarctica) and is available to anyone with an Internet connection. The VOCABULARY LEARNING FUN Website got a total redo. It is now the most remarkable collection of free vocabulary games. It's designed to fill the gaps in available free online resources.

These are just a very few examples of different types of poetry. Most of the definitions have at least one example of each particular type of poetry for better understanding. The Pics4Learning collection consists of thousands of images that have been donated by students, teachers, and amateur photographers. Unlike many Internet sites, permission has been granted for teachers and students to use all of the images donated to the Pics4Learning collection.
