The teeth color varied from yellowish brown, healthy white and startling white teeth, which only bleaching could provide. Those pictures were then shown to a group of young people and they were asked which models they would prefer.

A very interesting and innovative research was conducted by the universities of Leeds and Central Lancashire to analyze the importance of white shiny teeth. They took pictures of models and digitally changed the color and the spacing of the teeth.
