Semantic search technology is based on a computerized system that understands content and query similar to how the human brain processes natural languages. Instead of matching the occurrence of words or symbols (as done in indexing systems), semantic search systems match concepts and their meaningful variations.
System One offers a range of new semantic search, analytics and collaboration products that de- crease the costs of daily infor- mation workflows, enable new business strategies and are more flexible as well as cost effective.
"Currently making 1.67TB of research data available.
Sharing data is hard. Emails have size limits, and setting up servers is too much work. We've designed a distributed system for sharing enormous datasets - for researchers, by researchers. The result is a scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant repository for data, with blazing fast download speeds."
Gnod is my experiment in the field of artificial intelligence. Its a self-adapting system, living on this server and 'talking' to everyone who comes along. Gnods intention is to learn about the outer world and to learn 'understanding' its visitors. This enables gnod to share all its wisdom with you in an intuitive and efficient way. You might call it a search-engine to find things you don't know about.
TextMap is a search engine for entities: the important (and not so important)people, places, and things in the news. Our news analysis system automatically identifies and monitors these entities, and identifies meaningful relationships between them.
RevIMG is a reverse image search engine.Traditional image search engine systems allow you to find images starting from a text, RevIMG works the opposite way: start the search from an image and returns you as result a list of links to web pages where the image or similar ones are contained. Used in combination with a traditional search engine like Google search could make your search more accurate. RevIMG engine finds images according to its matching algorithm based on shape, dimensions and colors likelihood. The resulting links are listed by matching percentage.
"The DiRT Directory is a registry of digital research tools for scholarly use. DiRT makes it easy for digital humanists and others conducting digital research to find and compare resources ranging from content management systems to music OCR, statistical analysis packages to mindmapping software."
"A milestone in the history of science based on work of the CODATA, the Committee on Data of the International Science Council
The General Conference of Weights and Measures will meet in Paris to vote on whether to re-define the International System of Units (SI) for the kilogram, ampere, kelvin and mole based on fundamental laws rather than measurement."
"The basic idea of developing TAS Enterprise Search was to help identifying and enabling all content across the enterprise to be indexed, searched, and displayed to authorized users. Whether you have your own data or it comes from the TAS Data Collector, it is more transparent and useful if a sophisticated keyword search function is available, because the text content without access is worthless."
