Terrier is open source, and is a comprehensive, flexible and transparent platform for research and experimentation in text retrieval. Research can easily be carried out on standard TREC and CLEF test collections.
Terrier is written in Java, and is developed at the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow.

EasyDefine was initially developed with the intention of speeding up the time people spend looking up vocabulary words. With this website there is no need to spend countless hours looking up definitions. All one has to do is copy and paste the word list and all the words will be extracted and defined. Definitions are taken from Princeton's WordNet 3.0. EasyDefine is coded in PHP, AJAX and javascript (jQuery), using a MySQL database to store word definitions. Graphic design was done via Adobe Photoshop CS3, and CSS.
