East Dorset Open Water Swimming Club - lidos - Saltdean Lido - 1 views

  • Saltdean Lido
  • Beautiful art deco designed pool
  • 45 minute drive from Arundel
  • ...13 more annotations...
  • bad weather
  • nice young man on reception
  • allowing us in to complete our mile (super chap!)
  • temperature was not a problem
  • yet it had the feeling of art deco magnificence
  • air of dilapidation
  • leased it to a leisure company
  • just felt unloved
  • If only the council had had the forethought to put it in the hands of people who really cared.
  • Brighton councillors should be made to visit Guildford, Wiviliscombe, Chagford and Arundel to see what can be done with a little bit of imagination and enthusiasm
  • 25 metres x 15 metres
  • freshwater heated
