What do we think about a tech break? Good idea or bad?

Neither good nor bad, but maybe we need to teach how to focus. I am distracted lots, and have to work hard at focusing. How would you instigate a tech break? What form would it take do you think? I know that in the odd time I have taken a phone off a kid they are often 'not able' to work, being too annoyed.

For staff looking at language whether English or Maori, French or Japanese, Paul (Ruapehu College educated) has some wonderful resources which are free to download I used much of his work for Te Reo Maori in the 80-90s. Techniques are good.
