Hello Karen and others looking for the SKR video, We will be putting that video back up this week. We will also be posting that password for all Rowland Diigo members. We will also be looking to suss a few key points from the keynote. These will then be posted as short 4 to 5 minute clips.

I like this question.  Maybe Amanda or Ann could use it?  Not sure who is teaching digital literacy these days, but maybe they could all team up?  Or the library might have some nice video editing equipment and we could host our own video challenge?

Sam Chaltain provides commentary on the final installment of the Year At Mission School series focusing on the Boston elementary and middle school founded by Deborah Meier. Video is embedded. Spend the time to watch all 10 installments (most are around 5 minutes - this one is 10).   

TED Talk recommended by Andy Kepes.  Sounds like a good premise for personalized learning.

Education policy leaders and professors, contributors to the recently published The Futures of School Reform, talked about reform of the education model in American schools. They discussed the teacher's role in the classroom, tenure, and collective bargaining and responded to questions from members of the audience.

Just a ton of topics covered in this two hour video. But, some great issues raised and ideas discussed.

Khan as teacher-centered lectures, not student-centered learning.  Still, the videos could support independent learners.

This simple video makes the essential elements of PBL come alive and brings to light the 21st Century skills and competencies (collaboration, communication, critical thinking) that will enable K-12 students to be college and work-ready as well as effective members of their communities.

Keynote at ISTE 2012.  Here is a video of YongZhao's presentation.  He was a wonderful speaker, very engaging and funny, but with a clear and serious message.  There is about 15 minutes of intro stuff first, but you can fast forward that if you are short on time.  His talk is about an hour and well worth your time.
