The Elmo projector( a digital visual projection) can be used in various ways to make learning fun. In this article the Elmo projector is used to encourage writing in the classroom. The use of this device encouraged revisions in writing. Students were able to display their writings for the class and with the help of their peers and teachers they could edit the document on the spot. Using this tool for writing is a great way to reinforce strategies in writing. ABCD ( Attacking Prompt, Brainstorm, Choose order and Draft response.in various ways to make learning fun. Social Media is a powerful and effective tool in the classroom. With using social media in a positive way, helps engage students learning and allows them to become more involved in their education.

Summer matters, Parents need to keep their children engaged during the summer with an activity. If they don't, children lose out on 90 days of learning and retaining information learned throughout the school year.

Hemingway is a great program where students who struggle with writing can receive help. Hemingway is a program where students type in their essay, paragraph, rough draft, etc. and it automatically gives them advice. Hemingway lets them know if they are off topic, sentences aren't relevant, or just shows them common errors.

Teachers are inundated with the reality of technology in the classrooms. There are smart boards, iPads, Elmo projectors, just to name a few devices. Teachers use many programs and apps to aid them in teaching. With so much technology, I agree there should be a balance. This article speaks briefly about finding a healthy balance between teaching and technology.

To be an effective teacher students learning styles should be assessed. One way teachers can help students that are kinestheic learners is my using iPads in the classroom. The motion sensor allows students to use their hands in guiding the iPad to equilibrium and balance skills.

I love the idea of using screencast to teach Math. Math is a subject that can often times be challenging to grasp. Screencasts tutorials to teach math step by step is an amazing tool to help students understanding Math. Especially when students are introduce to more difficult math such as geometry. Teachers can also use such tutorials as links on their school webpage.

Educreations is a very popular screen casting whiteboard app. Educreations is a blank whiteboard, it can be used in any subject to explain concepts, review topics and give a teacher a free tool to "flip" their classroom. Used to its full potential teachers are able to create a "virtual classroom" have their students enroll in their class and automatically share screencasts created using the app or the website with the students. The teacher also has the ability to browse an entire catalog of "Lessons" created by other teachers and share them with their student's.

A screencasting app gives children the ability to create a video that shows them writing on their iPad screen and captures their voice as they solve a word problem. This type of technology gives children a space to draw pictures, annotate an image and narrate a multi-step procedure. Screencasting is a straightforward task that requires students to think through problem-solving steps and the best way to explain their thought process.

Online rubric makers can make rubric creation pretty simple. Here are a few collected sites that offer online rubric makers (some of them are free) that can help you out in your classroom. Using a rubric can help your students understand the assignments in your classroom, and will make your grading process clearer, faster, and more objective and consistent.
