abctools® allow you to create the materials you need when you can't find them anywhere else. abctools are ideal for multi-level classrooms, as well as students with varying learning styles and abilities. Over 60 tools are available to members in a variety of subjects. i love this site it is great for standard 6.1 by allowing us to create and find material to help students learn by doing.

CourseCracker.com has the goal of utilizing web technology to advance learning and communication in schools. The features provided by CourseCracker benefit parents, students, teachers, and youth education as a whole. Particularly at the K-8 level, schools and educators have yet to properly utilize the power of web technology to enhance and evolve education and the classroom experience. This website is free and my be used by any teacher to communicate with students who are out for a day or long extended periods.

Schoology allows instructors, students and administrators to create a meaningful virtual classroom and extend learning beyond the boundaries of the physical classroom

In February, 1997, Susan Brooks and Bill Byles began a collaborative effort to extend assistance to fellow teachers. In November of 2000 that project expanded to a web presence known as Internet 4 Classrooms ("i4c"), a free web portal designed to assist anyone who wants to find high-quality, free Internet resources to use in classroom instruction, developing project ideas, reinforcing specific subject matter areas both in the class and at home and even for online technology tutorials. The portal is used by teachers, parents and students of all ages on six of the seven continents (there are not many classrooms in Antarctica) and is available to anyone with an Internet connection. We do not charge a subscription fee.

Sheppard Software is a free site that makes learning fun. Membership is not required to begin using the materials. The site offers hundreds of fun educational games that can be easily incorporated into lessons to help introduce new concepts or reinforce existing knowledge and skills. The instructional material and games range from grades preschool through college. The subject matter available on Sheppard is extremely diverse and covers a wide array of educational topics. This is an effective website for providing students with hands-on experience and problem solving.

WebNotes is a quick and easy way to save, organize and be able to come back to resources and information found online. You don't have to copy and paste into word documents, simply use the WebNotes tool bar to save the information and go back to it later! As a teacher you can easily pull up a saved website or image to show your class.

Class Dojo is a way to track behavior for teachers, parents, and students. It is a points based system which can be shown over a period of hours to the entire year. It begins by taking attendance, then it offers the ability to give or take away points, showing parents exactly how their children are acting in class, and tracking their progress over time.

This is a great way to get the kids hooked on to a topic you are teaching in any subject area. Unfortunately it does cost money! For a class of 25 students it runs around $65 a year. However, kids will love the raps and videos that they provide. It also provides you with quizzes, activities, and challenge questions for your students. This so much FUN that your students will forget they are even learning :)

This is a program which utilizes databases and spreadsheets to analyze academic performance and behavior. This program allows students, parents, teachers, and faculty to observe and track student performance daily. Teachers can request a free Kickboard starter account through the website.

Teachers can create classes and share lists of flashcards with their students for periodic review. Examples of flashcard lists being used by teachers include dates for History class, elements from the Periodic Table for Science class, and vocabulary for French class.

K12 Portal is a free online grade book program designed to save teachers time and helps them stay organized. K12 Portal is used to manage grades and assignments, while keeping your students, parents and other contacts on the same page. Teachers, parents and students can collaborate through the calendar and address book functions as it automatically displays assignments while making it easy to follow along with what is going on in your class or school by using the blog feature.

SchoolNotes provides teachers with a virtual environment, giving the ability to post classroom or school oriented information. This information is accessible anywhere there is an internet connection giving both parents and students the opportunity to keep in touch with what is happening in the classroom.
