The Tourism Development Authority is developing the concepts of ecotourism and eco-lodging and PERSGA, an official regional organization formally established in September 1996 and based in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) is responsible for the development and implementation of regional programs for the protection and conservation of the marine environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
