  America is facing a nursing shortage that is threatening the quality of healthcare for people. 'The figures are staggering. The nursing profession needs help in recruiting educators, who'll train and make new nurses, all hoping of beginning to handle the nursing shortage crisis.'
  
  The campaign sponsors Promise of Nursing galas, which have raised significantly more than $7 million, to help raise funds for medical school awards, scholarships and faculty fellowships. By supporting graduate nursing programs, the Campaign is helping supply teachers and teachers to prepare the next-generation of nurses.
