Bank repossessed property for sale and regular homes posted positive sales figures in some areas of New York. Data for February showed sales up in some markets.

Bank REO properties for sale and foreclosure numbers remain high in California. Realtors are promoting short sales in an effort to stop foreclosure increases.

Bank foreclosure property sales accounted for a huge percentage of residential sales in some areas of California. This prevented housing prices from improving.

Bank owned residential properties and foreclosed property sales declined in Virginia last year. However, some counties are still mired in foreclosure problems.

Short sales are still a viable option for homeowners completely "under water" with their home price and faltering on their mortgage payments. Short sales in Florida are increasingly popular to rectify the situation and kick the real estate market into high gear. Homes sold in this manner do fall short of the money owed on the property, but banks are desperate to get these homes generating income once again.

Realtors in several areas of New York are optimistic that sales of foreclosed houses and bank owned condominium properties will grow in 2011. According to them, the low prices will draw buyers.

Bank owned residential property sales declined in certain areas of California in February of this year. Prices of homes also dropped year-over-year in February.

Sales of existing houses and bank owned rentals surged in most metro areas of Florida last year. The whole state also recorded higher sales in the existing residential property market in 2010.

Sales of bank owned residential properties are expected to rise in 2011 as more foreclosures happened in Springfield in 2010. Foreclosures were up by over 18%.

Bank auction properties for sale and foreclosed homes continue to drag housing prices down in Atlanta. February data showed home prices dropping by over 8%.

Bank repossessed properties for sale sellers in Oklahoma City are expected to get buyers soon. The city's downtown area is preparing for a new tenant company.

Lenders in Massachusetts allegedly favor letting properties end up as bank or Fannie Mae foreclosure properties rather than unload them in short sales. According to analysts, the reason could be fears of fraud common in short sales.

Bank owned real estate for sale and foreclosures account for a huge percentage of Las Vegas sales. In February, only around 20% of sales were for regular homes.

Foreclosed HUD houses and bank foreclosures outnumber short sales by a huge margin in California. Agents claim that banks are reluctant to approve short sales.

Bank owned land and residential properties in Minneapolis are gaining the interest of buyers. Home pending sales were up in the area in January from a year ago.

Real estate in India is undergoing a dim phase and the year 2012 has witnessed plummetting sales and launches across the country. Developers are coming up with innovative plans and schemes along with cooperation from banks to revive sales of houses in the country. Subvention scheme is an innovative scheme introduced by a number of developers as a part of their endeavour to make the property transaction customer friendly. Under the subvention plan, a customer buys an under constructipon property for which he/she does not have to pay EMIs for a defined period or until he/she takes possession of the house. Usually, private and nationalised banks tie up with developers to offer loans for such subvention plans.

The large volume of homes in bank owned property listings is causing major problems in the housing market. Other factors are also contributing to the situation.

Bank owned home auction properties and foreclosure-related filings declined in South Carolina in February 2011. The biggest drop was in Greenville metro area.

Bank owned REO property hunters will get the best chances of securing a great deal in Atlanta. Analysts reported that the area is highly suitable to homebuyers.
