    NOIDA: Several real estate developers in Noida continue to extract groundwater despite a blanket ban imposed on it by the National Green Tribunal as well as the Supreme Court. Developers have installed long pipelines to empty groundwater, which is extracted from their sites, at other locations.

The recent news that, for a developer to construct a project in riverbeds, he will have to dig deeper for basement, an its depth depends on the number of floors in the project. Several developers have admitted that as they are under constant pressure to deliver their projects in time, they fail to follow the norms.
