Moreover, we will make this a platform where young budding photographers could get a chance to showcase their talent without any strings attached. It would be a platform which would give an opportunity to the artistic and unconventional form of photography and would aim to get them on an equivalent space with the mainstream commercial photography.

We advocate a legal reform that would allow homeowners to reduce principal while giving mortgage holders an equity interest. Such a plan would give homeowners an incentive to keep or resell their homes, thus reducing the market value loss of homes while protecting the effective value of creditors’ interests. Securitization and Mortgage Renegotiation: Evidence from the Great Depression - 0 views

    We use loan-level data from the New York City metropolitan area to examine the extent to which lenders attempted to prevent foreclosures with concessionary modifications during the Great Depression. We find no principal forgiveness in the sample and only a handful of concessionary mortgage modifications of other types. Far more mortgages terminated through foreclosure than received any sort of concessionary modification. The results indicate that there are significant impediments to renegotiation of residential mortgages beyond securitization. As such, less renegotiation seems unlikely to be a major cost of securitization of residential mortgages
