The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike has kick started some initiatives of waste segregation after one month deadline given by the Karnataka high court to make the city litter free. BBMP wants segregation of waste at source as it will reduce the quantum of waste generated by the city.

Initiative taken by BBMP for contractors. The BBMP has the doubtful difference of allotting projects and select carefully with a particular purpose in mind with offering single tenders to favour contractors and accepting tenders after the lapse of the due date.
