My Name is J.R. Quarles and I am an Independent Beachbody Coach.

I started my journey with my lovely wife,Kakra, about 2 years ago. I was at a point in my life where my weight was getting out of hand. I was very athletic while growing up, playing three sports a year- basketball, football, and baseball. I had actually gotten a scholarship to play football and baseball. I guess I was too “short” for basketball. But anyway, the point is that I was very active, yet ate horrible because I could not gain weight.

When I finished school and got a desk job, I continued the same eating habits and gained over 60 pounds in less than a year!

It seems as if the weight just snuck up on me, and I was in denial for a while.  I can still remember what changed by life around – a P90Xinfomercial. I was watching TV, eating pizza one night when I saw this infomercial. There were ordinary people achievingastonishing weightloss. I must admit, I was very skeptical. I wrote down the toll-free number and went to Google for research. With my findings, I saw different blogs and videos with positive reviews. At this point I was sold, so I ordered P90X the same night.

When I received the package, I was very excited and nervous at the same time. I thought ‘There is no way I can do this program.” Like Tony Horton said “Bring It”, so I brought it every day. I noticed that my body was changing after 2 weeks, so I kept on pushing play. After 90 days, I lost over 25 pounds and I was hooked. My wife started the program after she had our son and she lost over 30 pounds in 90 days.

With the results we achieved, it wasn’t any doubt that we wanted to become Coaches and help others with their fitness journey. I learned no matter how hard you think something is, you can complete any task with one step at a time…hard work and determination.
