I chose this article because it used the word "global village". They way it used the expression helped me to understand what GV really means. One meaning is about how we can make friends based on similar interests and not based on location of where we live. This is possible because of the Internet.

Yes, I understand that the world is smaller like a village because it is easier to meet people on the Internet.

I think this article shows that the idea of the "Global Village" is not always a positive one.
