RE 6575: Lit-n-Tech

This is a great site- I use it a lot in my classroom! We will be talking about Dr. Seuss very soon- and I found Justin B. to tell the story of Green Eggs and Ham! Very similar to videos you would find on youtube- but you can use this is your classroom!

For those of us who want to show video, but YouTube is blocked due to school filters!

Read Accross America day is coming up on March 2nd. This site is full of great Dr. Seuss stuff.

I thought I would add this site this week in celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday coming up March 2nd I believe... this site is great! Very kid friendly- has books by Dr. Seuss, author description, games and activities, characters of Dr. Seuss and videos! I am going to have my students explore in the computer lab this week.

Super cool! This is just like the typical Flat Stanley project but now you have the choice to send Stanley digitally, you can find a classroom around the world to send Stanley to, you can track him online... so many possibilities!!

Since we do a Flat Stanley project in my classroom I think this is great. I love it!

This site is a free online poster site. This would be wonderful for students to use in order to create posters of a biography that has been read, or on a topic for research in the lab. Other suggestions might be the identification of the summary of a story or the characters listed in a story. One might even create a wanted poster of a character to focus on traits. The possibilities are endless!

This website has some interesting videos on technology and also some neat ways to incorporate i-pads into the classroom

This website has a list of resources that can be used on the smartboard. There are also blogs, powerpoints and more. There are a lot of things on this site for technology. I think it is a great resource because there are a lot of things to use in one spot.

A site to help students keep track of their schoolwork via email or text messaging when upcoming assignments are due. Students can attach files, add notes, and share with classmates. Something that could be implemented for the upper elementary kids.
