    Thanks for sharing Nick! I believe this is a great example of an ethnography study. However, I believe Geertz should also conduct interviews to triangulate his data. Keep on sharing!

    I agree with you llizamj. I also think that the author should have interviewed the Balinese women because it seemed bias to interpret the Balinese culture from a cockfight that mainly involved men.

      I think it is because of the theory generated is grounded in the collected data. Then the theory can be tested through quantitative methods.

    I think qualitative methods can be applied to answer "How" research questions too!
