My School website - 2 views

Ok this will be a very important site in the coming years. This will be where school data will be accessed to check NAPLAN scores for comparison against "like-school groups". PDFs with screen shots are available at the moment. Data will be entered in 2010. Note: I'm promoting awareness of the site but very wary of how it might be used...

Ok so I've had a brief look and as I said in my first post there is a huge amount of promise here and more content than I realised.
The fact that you can use the search tool for either content/headings OR by featured providers, is effective.
Here are a few hits which have stood out so far.

    * Various Science topics from Uni of Otago (all Sciences)
    * Environmental ethics - issues around GM crops for example (Geography, Environmental Sciences, Junior Science or Biology)
    * Climate Change - really interesting lectures by Tim Flannery (Geography, Junior HSIE, Senior Geography, * Civics Projects - social justice work)
    * Some seemingly good links for Languages (various)
    * A Business link from RMIT(Business Studies, Junior Commerce)
    * Engineering & Technology - UNSW (Technology, Engineering Studies, Physics, Design & Technology)
    * Philosophy - excellent but not sure of the precise relevance here to courses
    * World archaeology - Yr 11 use for Ancient History is obvious
    * various exhibits from Metropolitan Museum of Art (Visual Arts, cross-curricular, Histories or Project work - HIX or Ext2 English)

See what you think but I know I'll be registering for some podcasts and syncing some content on my itouch (note to self must get iphone!!!)
