I was just wondering which google apps people are making use of in their classrooms or for professional/personal use. A couple of questions I am thinking about at the moment are: 1. Should we be giving students experience with public access tools such as these so that they can take the skills they learn with them rather than the skills they learn specific to Myclasses/myinternet? 2. With myclasses etc perhaps being phased out/modified/replaced at some stage is this a viable alternative that could be used instead?

Bio-Cube is a useful summarizing tool that helps students identify and list key elements about a person whose biography or autobiography they have just read. It can also be used as a prewriting activity for student autobiographies. Best for primary students.

Great website for learning about writing letters. Goes through requirements of both Personal letters, and Business letters. Lets you print/save the document as a final product. 

How many of the movies in this list have you shared with a class? I haven't seen all of them yet, but it seems to be a pretty good list (geared toward high school classes) of movies worth watching with your classes...

Writing fun is a great way to support students in the writing process

This is an excellent resource and one which i use with my schools very often. The examples are good, and it also provides a scaffold for Microsoft Word that you can download. http://www.amathsdictionaryforkids.com/ is also made by the same person and is worth a look.
