could be very useful ... there's a huge fear of data out there (unnecessarily so) but an app like this makes it very accessible/meaningful. Thanks for sharing ...

Interesting site in the making .... using the structure of Bloom's Taxonomy to sort ipad apps into approp thinking levels.

iPad has made such a radical change in education with more and more school districts  adopting it as a learning tool inside the classroom. Educational Technology and Mobile Learning  has been helping teachers all along the way with reviews and tutorials on how to get started using iPad in education. We have reviewed more than 500 apps and we are planning to do more reviews this year.

All you need is an iphone or ipad and some rather spectacular apps, and you can create a music creation> This is worth a look. Atomic Tom and Applegirl are great

Have just been playing with this and must say it looks pretty interesting. you can easily combine pictures, text and video. You can alos create links to other sites etc. The free version also comes with 200 student accounts. I found it in here http://teachers.net/gazette/wordpress/allison-gray/50-web-apps-for-teachers/ which came from the diigo Classroom 2.0 group.

I was just wondering which google apps people are making use of in their classrooms or for professional/personal use. A couple of questions I am thinking about at the moment are: 1. Should we be giving students experience with public access tools such as these so that they can take the skills they learn with them rather than the skills they learn specific to Myclasses/myinternet? 2. With myclasses etc perhaps being phased out/modified/replaced at some stage is this a viable alternative that could be used instead?

This looks like an interesting application for collaboration on the iPad. You can collaborate with an unlimited amount of students/teachers/experts on the one pad and it is all in real-time, some fantastic potential uses for this app...
