The Joint CSIR-UGC Examination is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and University Grants Commission jointly. The Joint CSIR-UGC examination will determine the eligibility of Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and for appointment of Lecturers in certain subject areas falling under the faculties of Science.

The Indian Engineering Services Examination (IES) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. IES Examination is conducted in the month of May / June every year. This examination is conducted for recruitment to services/posts in various departments of the Central Government.
