This is not only for the teacher, but for the student as well. Although I am not an art teacher, I do my best to enclude art in the classroom. It allows students to express themselves withour feeling the need to worry so much about getting the entire assignment right on the dot. On this URL, there are activities for teachers to use and for students to use.

This site has a wide variety of information and links including technology, magazines, and much more. Some of the resources are for you to purchase, but there are many great resources that are free.

Connect with other educators to share ideas and resources. Scholastic provides teachers with so many great tools. I haven't used TeacherShare yet, but I could see it beneficial for all teachers because you are able to connect with great teachers all over the world. There are so many great ideas!

Great resource for librarians to learn more about their field, libraries, advocacy, and of cource literature. It always has good info on trends in teen literature.

NCTM website - yes this does focus on math content, but it has some great resources, including some good information on Advocacy

This wiki contains lots of ideas and information for librarians. Anyone can add or edit topics. The nice thing about this site is that it is very organized. If you want information about a certain topic, it is easy to find.

You can listen to podcasts of booktalks at this site. This would be great for students who can't seem to find a good book to read. The books chosen are Isinglass Teen Read Award Nominees - this is a teen book award in New Hampshire, but I am sure these books are popular all over!

This is a great website for language classes. It features real people (preferably native speakers) pronouncing words in many different languages. Want to hear how a native French speaker says "Foie Gras"? Look no further! No definitions are included (even a link to one would be better than nothing...). Japanese words are in Kanji and/or Katakana/Hiragana, tough for beginning Japanese students who rely on Romaji to find words. Pronunciations are voted on by users, and you can see the speaker's location on a map (helpful for regional dialects).

This site pretty much covers it all. It's right on the money with blogs, contests, webinars, reviews, articles, and tutorials on about everything you need to know in regards to technology in educational. Worth a look for sure.

This educational technology website was created to house articles, news, and information about Ed Tech in general. What I found to be the most interesting was how it gave history as to how and when technology and internet specifically started impacting the classroom and how it currently impacts all around the world. There are all kinds of great tabs on the left side that lead to articles and discussions that are very relevant to our field.

This website offers loads of great tools and it even provides video demonstrations on new technology and what is up and coming. I also liked the aspect that this website lists past months on the side where you can easily search and visit past discussions and blogs. Another cool feature are the tabs that talk about types of technology being used in some classrooms like ipads and ipods and what these lessons look like.

I came across this article and thought it was pretty cool. Our district has been putting lots of emphasis on having a classroom website and how to better connect and communicate with parents. This website give 14 tips on ways to use technology to better connect! Check it out!
