Designed primarily for Jr-Sr High students, the INCREDIBLE video clips offer a superb look at science theories as applied to the the Winter Olympic sports. The accompanying worksheets and quizzes are too advanced for younger students, however the videos are very interesting for students as young as 3rd grade.

KSDE provides a wealth of information pertaining to everything from assessments to teacher licensure. You can find everything about Kansas education on this site.

You can choose your own avatar (virtual person/character) and upload a recording to it, allowing it to tell what you want people to know. Our 6th graders did this and gave a brief teaser about some books they have been reading.

Voki is a free service that allows you to create personalized speaking avatars and use them on your blog, profile, and in email messages. I personally have two of them on my teacher website. Sometimes you have to spell phonetically in order to get the Avatar to pronounce things correctly, but other than that, it is a blast creating them.

This works with google earth. Teachers can create lessons on google earth that are centered around literature. This will take the student to the place on the "map". The teacher can embed bits or bytes of information there for the student to view.

I use this site a ton. This is a free site that you can go to in order to create awards for kids. These awards can then be emailed to parents or you can email them to yourself and print them off. I love this site! There are other things on this site to use, but the awards are what I have always used. To get to the awards, click on "Site Awards." Then at the very top of this page, you have a link that will take you to "Make Awards."

This site would be helpful for any classroom teacher who wants to integrate technology.

This URL provides multiple math practices to be used by student in the classroom. The tacher can also use them as a way to show what is to be done on the board.

PAEC E-Learning Workshops allow educators to have professional development opportunities online. You can view streaming videos for free and collaborate with other teachers!

Digital Media for Teachers is an extensive library full of resources for classroom use or professional development.

This is a great site that is divided by subject and then it is divided into topics. There is also a good selection of professional development resources. There is even a section divided into state standards.

This site has many K-12 teacher resources and professional development information.

4Teachers.org is designed to help teachers integrate technology into their classroom by offering online tools and resources. There are also tools for student use. Here teachers can discover valuable professional development resources addressing a variety of issues including technology planning, and at-risk or special-needs students.

Entertaining and informational blog on current librarian issues and writing.
