Published by WGBH. Created solely for the purpose to encourage others to create! High-quality videos organized into broad categories such as "War", "Technology", etc..
Sponsored and developed by the School of Information and Library Science and UNC Chapel Hill. Best feature of this site is the ability to search by genre, duration, color, and sound. Includes video from NASA, the National Archives, and several colleges and universities.
Includes several links to collections of video/movie clips. Due to the limited number of clips housed within each individual collection, I chose not to bookmark the individual sites, but rather the collection as a whole. This was shared through a forum on Windows Movie Maker, and therefore, many of the clips are very easy to download and use within projects.
Library of free movies, films, and videos. Range from full-length films, to cartoons, and concert clips. Please note that while the Moving Image Archive has over 558,000 items in their collection, not all are available for download.
Over 1,900 sound effects for use in web pages, games, and multimedia applications. The easiest way to navigate is to use the drop-down box on the right hand side (by genre).
Unfortunately this page has a lot of third-party ads, but if you follow the link provided, you will be able to search over 2,000 songs (short and long clips). You can choose to search by "genre", "feel" or "keyword". All licensed under Creative Commons. The creator repeatedly asks for attribution.
