This list was created for the Leadership Project for the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association. This list contains links to various websites that supply copyright-friendly images, sound files, and video files for educational purposes. Many of the sites contain files of multiple formats and are tagged accordingly. Please understand that this Diigo was not created to act as a repository for all "Copyright Friendly" sources available online. As a librarian, there are several sites available on the internet that claim they are copyright friendly, yet after research it is clear they are not. In addition, many of these websites contain material not suitable for a K-12 educational environment. To the best of my ability, I have included only websites with content that are both copyright friendly for educational purposes AND do not include inappropriate material. In some circumstances, the amount and quality of suitable material outweighed the amount of non-suitable material and therefore, I chose to include them in this Diigo. I have noted such sites in the annotations. Please understand that these websites are updated regularly and I cannot control if new material is added that does not fit these guidelines. I strongly encourage you to use some of the tools to personalize this group to meet your needs such as the RSS feed, and a linkroll on your library webpage. Please understand that these websites are considered "Copyright Friendly" to schools, and were researched for educational purposes only. Under no circumstances is this list encouraging the use of material for non-educational, commercial uses. Those choosing to use these sources for purposes other than educational purposes are strongly encouraged to check the limitations of use for each resources you are using.
