#1 Mitchell Grogan on 16 May 13does anyone know why Anzac biscuits are called Anzac biscuits?

#2 Karen Strachan on 20 May 13They were made during WWI and WWII and sent to soldiers via the Australian Red Cross as a "Care package". The recipe was printed in a woman's magazine as 'ANZAC Biscuits' and promoted as a long-lasting biscuit that would last the journey. The recipe contains no eggs which were heavily rationed at that time.
