"Google Apps Script (GAS). GAS is a JavaScript cloud scripting language that provides easy ways to automate tasks across Google products and third party services and build web applications.*  GAS lets you do more with Google Apps for Education (GAFE) such as drive and calendars. There a tons of already created scripts that help educators but you can also create your own by opening a Google Doc, spreadsheet etc and clicking on tools, script editor. Doctopus and Goobric - Your digital copy machine to distribute Google Docs to your students and grade them with a digital rubric. Autocrat - Create a Google Doc based on individual submissions on a Google Form. "

Below you will find links to iPad applications that target the various levels of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. I only included free apps that were "content-neutral" to make them usable across the curriculum. I also tried to include apps for the iPad only, but a few iPhone apps may have snuck in! Each app image is clickable, and you will be taken to the iTunes Store to learn more about each one. If you have other iPad apps you would like to recommend that meet the same criteria, please fill out the Google Survey at the bottom of this page. The results will be public so we can all benefit from each other's expertise.

Last week, Google released some new features for Google Docs, its web-based word-processing software. The updates include a new item in your menu bar, called Add-ons, that gives writers access to a wide selection of new, third-party tools. Several of these apps are specifically designed for writing and evaluating research work. The best thing about these new tools? They're free! This release from Google marks one fewer reason for teachers and students to depend on Microsoft Word, the proprietary and expensive software that has traditionally dominated the paper-writing process. Definitely welcome news for students (and adjuncts) on tight budgets."

This Google Site has been set up by Dr. Helen Barrett to focus on the use of Google Apps to create ePortfolios. On this site, there are instructions on how to use the different elements of Google Apps to maintain e-portfolios.

As part of Search Education, Google has shared a bunch of lesson plans that are organized by degree of difficulty. So, if you consider yourself and / or your students Google experts, you should try out the more advanced plans.
