    Mr. Harris demonstrates from personal experience that any learning model is incomplete without project management. To bridge the divide between learning developers and executives we need the ability to discuss timelines, budgets and resources.

    SPADES is an acronym for start, plan, administer, develop, engage and stop. "Each of these stages incorporates tasks typically completed with ADDIE, but adds project management techniques to ensure everyone's needs are met."

    "Training In SPADES" is only an overview of the topic; there is not enough information to actually start applying it. The article is valuable, however, because it applies project management specifically to learning development.
