I agree. I'm exploring VoiceThread as an ePortfolio platform. It's a very effective collaboration tool.

Voice Thread - I'm not very familiar with it - as a matter of fact there is little I am familiar with but that is changing. I've been playing around with WikiSpaces and believe it has real potential for ePortfolios - privacy, adaptability, potential for parent/peer/teacher review but won't know until school starts up and I can get it up and running. I do appreciate your input - now I'll need to familiarize myself more with VoiceThread. I'm intrigued.

VoiceThread is definitely worth looking into. Give it a good look. A few days ago on Twitter there was a discussion about wikis. Based on that, I'd encourage you to look at Wet Paint wikis as well. They get good reviews for organization and navigation.
