Shoaib Malik and Aamer Yamin proved their capacity. At the same, several other players blundered profusely. Watch this report on the mistakes in an ODI match against Zimbabwe on October 3. Story first published: 4th October 2015
SHARJAH: Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah, a key weapon in team's bowling attack, has suffered knee injury during a practice session that puts his availability for Tuesday's third one-day international against England in Sharjah doubtful. Head coach Waqar Younis warned his team needed to play out of their skins to take a lead over England.
HARARE: Pakistan off-spinner Bilal Asif, who took five wickets in Zimbabwe one day international (ODI) series decider, has been reported for a suspect action, Samaa reported Tuesday. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also confirmed that the off-spinner has been reported for a suspect action following third ODI at Harare Sports Club.
HARARE: Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl against Zimbabwe in series decider at Harare Sports Club Monday. Wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed is leading the Pakistani side in the last ODI. In the last game, Shoaib Malik's brilliant fightback was foiled by bad light as Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by five runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method to level three-match series at 1-1.
A tall target looked well beyond Pakistan when Zimbabwe's seamers reduced them to 56 for five, and after Graeme Cremer removed Mohammad Rizwan to make that 76 for six, the game appeared to be up. However Aamer Yamin along with Shoaib Malik counter-attacked in a brilliant 111-run stand for the seventh wicket, with the pair riding their luck as Zimbabwe dropped a series of catches.
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena, a hardline Hindu nationalist party, Monday demanded Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar to immediately leave India. Dar is performing his duty in ongoing India home series against South Africa. The demand comes from Shiv Sena a few hours after it's workers attacked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) head quarters in Mumbai ahead of Indo-Pak cricket talks.
