ISLAMABAD: Curfew and restrictions in Indian Occupied Kashmir continued to remain in force for the 74th consecutive day, today, to prevent anti-India protest rallies.
SRINAGAR: Independent member of legislation assembly (MLA) Engineer Rashid was beaten up by BJP legislators in Indian occupied Kashmir Assembly on Thursday for hosting beef party in hostel on Wednesday. According to reports, BJP MLA Ravinder Raina thrashed Rashid for acting against the ban.
Muslim legislator, Engineer Rashid, who was thrashed on Thursday by two BJP MLAs for hosting a beef party, staged a protest here on Friday and along with his supporters outside Jammu and Kashmir Legislature Assembly complex. Police detained many of Rashid's supporters. Watch this report.
UNITED NATIONS: Foreign Ministers of Islamic countries have called for resolution of the decades-old Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India. At their annual coordination meeting Friday, the foreign ministers of 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) adopted the reports of various OIC Contact Groups, including the one on Jammu & Kashmir, which reaffirmed the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions.
KARACHI: Engineer Rashid, an independent Muslim lawmaker from Indian-occupied Kashmir, paid a tribute to Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creating a separate country for the Muslims of sub-continent. "I salute Mr Jinnah for his struggle," Engineer Rashid, who was attacked by extremist group Hindu Sena in Mumbai today, told SAMAA in a telephonic interview.

ISLAMABAD: Strong tremors were felt in parts of the country including South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Samaa reported Monday. According to our correspondent the earthquake jolted Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Quetta, Peshawar, Kohat, Abbottabad, Swat, Malakand and other cities and towns of the country.
