The rangers continued their targeted operation in different parts of the metropolis and arrested overnight five people hailing from a political party near Sindhi Hotel's Arshi Chowk area of Liaquatabad.

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) doesn't have the experience of playing with neutral umpires. "If PML-N is caught rigging this time, the government will have to pack up," he warned. He alleged that the PML-N was bringing people from across the province to NA-122 for its political rally.

Unofficial results say Ayaz Sadiq got away with 73440 while Aleem Khan drew in 72043 votes from 284 polling stations.
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday declared an independent candidate, Riaz-ul-Haq winner from NA-144 by securing 85,714 votes in by-election. According to ECP, an independent candidate Chaudhry Riazul Haq got 85,714 votes while Ali Arif Chaudhry of Pakistan Muslim League (N) achieved 45,199 votes in NA-144.

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan army says that at least 123 people have died from a powerful earthquake which has rattled many parts of Pakistan today (Monday). In a press statement on social media, DG ISPR Let-Gen Asim Bajwa said that Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif flew to some affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assess the rescue operation.
