Likes: - Nice landing page. I think she kept it clean and simple and gives just the right amount of introductory information. - The loading bar is clean and understandable. - I like how her About Me page is simple, and doesn't have a huge essay explaining her life and past work. It makes her more relatable, which I think is hugely important when working with seniors. It's so draining when you click on an About Me for an artist and have to read a huge piece to find out who they are. - I like the way the colors change and menus pop up to make the whole thing super easy to navigate. It shows clearly how to get back and forth from different areas of the page. - I LOVE how she has a contact form right on her contact page. It eliminates the errors that can happen from copying and pasting an email address, etc. Dislikes -One thing I don't like is that when you click on the Fashion section, it takes you to a portion of her blog instead of a seperate page, and feels like updated. I would like to be taken to a page that shows a more cohesive collection of her fashion work, rather then having to click through blog posts. - Her senior website only has one image on the homepage. I would like to see a slideshow going through images on the homepage. - I think she needs more images in her senior galleries. She only has about 10 in each one, and I feel like its better to have around 20 to get a well rounded view of style. - Her logo at the top cuts into the faces of some of the people in her images, and completely takes the attention off of the image. - When you move the mouse off of what you have selected to look at, it disappears, which does make the navigation a little confusing.

Like: -Slideshow of projects playing in background -Clean, Simple and clear layout/organization -Color of Logo background changes as you switch pages, to indicate which layer you are on -Navigation bars remain constant on all levels -Option to view projects as a slideshow or in list view Dislikes/ Needs Improvment: -Only one image per project -Cannot tell what the project you are looking at is until you select list view; only know what category it is in -No indication in slideshow of when projects have changed -In list view, it seems like you shoud be able to click on a project to see more info/images, but you cant -Layout-wise, would have preferred list of projects to be on the right side

+ Interactive animation are fun and create immediate interest + Bright colors against grey background create visual interest + Logo and name as part of the title create an impression of professionalism - First page is simple and intuitive, however, after this it become cluttered and complicated to navigate - Images are too small due to the confined area - Loading time, although short, is unwelcome - Music playing is low quality and repetitive and can be an annoyance, especially if the person is listening to music on their computer at the moment.

Clean aesthetic, loads really fast, consistent in navigation style throughout Too many buttons on the vertical navigation bar, hard to read pink colored text, It is not obvious at first that you have to scroll down when you click on a project

Logical horizontal navigation bar, wide range of work demonstrates abilities, Projects provide the right amount of information Slide show on home page flashes too fast, contact and downloads page too redundant, it takes too many clicks to get to the images of a project

Pros-Really Cool way of looking at images.-Nice and clear images. -Looks to be easily adaptable. Can add or change photos easily. Cons-Not very clear navigation.- While the image browser is very cool it is a little hectic and seems like it might be somewhat disorienting at times. - poor and unclear organization.

Likes: Consistent Background Easy Navigation Descriptions are personal and include customer feedback Dislikes: Under "Retouching & Photoshop" the before & after isn't immediately apparent. I thought the before was the after, and wasn't impressed with their retouching skills! Bottom navigation has featured projects, but I couldn't tell that right away The "services" tab lists services without example images, separately from the "retouching & photoshop" service WITH images, which gave me the impression that their only service was photoshop & retouching.

Likes: Compelling main page, text works well with colors. Easy navigation between galleries. Simple bar at bottom. Dislikes: The images are a little small once you enter the portfolio, and there are too many pages to go through to get there. Grey background distracts from images (should be black or white)

Pros: 1 Simple clean layout with easy straight forward navigation. Layout does a good job at allowing the images to stand alone/ be the focus. 2 Horizontal animation gives nice flair to site and images! Cons: 1 Too little description and not statement of intentions of philosophy.

Likes: 1) I appreciate the unique way of organizing works: "small works" etc 2) I like seeing his work up in exhibitions and just a photograph of it on its own. 3) Dislikes: 1) I don't like the title of his documents section. 2) I don't like how you navigate through your his work - too confusing. 3) Designing section is confusing as well.

  • Site Map Diagrams A visual site map 17 is quick to make, fairly expressive and easy to change. People have all sorts of methods for building site map diagrams. Whatever your tool, the diagram is a useful way to demonstrate hierarchy. It clearly shows the relationships between pages and tells you where your website is too shallow or deep. What’s it for? To visually explain the relationships between pages on your website. What’s good about it? Nothing better illustrates the hierarchy of a website than a diagram with lines and arrows indicating the relationships between pages. Clients naturally understand it. What’s bad about it? The actual relationships between pages can be hard to grasp. What looks good on a chart might not work well on a website. And a site map diagram is not really useful during the development phase, quickly becoming a dead documents. In sum A site map diagram is a quick way to sketch navigation and hierarchy. Don’t try to cram in other bits of information that just don’t fit. Really simple, beautiful portfolio site. He only has one trade he showcases and that is just fine, allows for simplicity. His site is easy to navigate, has clear definitions of content, and good typography. A good trick he's done for his homepage is shown one strong piece of his that communicates what he's about. He only includes on his site what is necessary. Less is more.

What works for this is that immediately you can see that he is a creative thinker. There is a deliberate effort at communicating this with his background image. His work is strong. But the greyscale design of his site with an abundance of curvy lines makes italic typography (his font face) difficult to read. And there is no navigation system, no organization or hierarchy of information. So if he showed his portfolio to a potential client who wanted a design poster done, they might not get far enough down his portfolio before getting bored. One-page portfolios are cool but he needs nav-links and an organization of content.

Likes: -The way "Lyndon Wade," and the images come out when entering the website. -The layout that is so simple, such as five images on dark gray background. -The font "Lyndon Wade" _When you go to the portfolio page, you will be able to see thumbnails at first. Dislikes: -When you enter the website, pop-up will come up. -Your internet browser will expand when you try to go to the website. -The scheme, orange and black, is little bit strange to me.

Likes: 1. Uses mouse tracking to navigate horizontally, which is fun and interactive 2. Clean look--fonts work well together (only 2 or 3, which keeps it simple) 3. Client info is clear, and makes it clear what the author of the website does. Dislikes: 1. I don't understand the significance of the numbers at the top of the page (why they're out of order, and why there's only this selection being shown...) 2. The author of the website could use a copy editor.....there are some grammatical and sentence errors. 3. Flash scroller is a bit jumpy after page loads various items....

Likes: 1. Pages showing art use the artwork as their background, which is attractive 2. Description of art is clear and out in the open--not hard to find, and readable 3. There are two thumbnail options to click on: to view the full piece of art, and to view a zoomed-in photo (nice to be able to see detail) Dislikes: 1. Trajan font is overused, and the rest of the fonts don't work very well together... 2. The links in the "artists" section don't lead anywhere... 3. Navigation between artwork pages is confusing--doesn't give much direction.

Likes: 1. Because the site takes a while to load, the "Loading..." image you see is an illustrated heart beating, and it's really interesting to look at while you wait. 2. Content is all listed on left--easy navigation 3. Color scheme is very attractive, and still works well with content. Dislikes: 1. Can't scroll using trackpad--you have to use the side bar 2. Content still takes a long time to load, even after waiting for the initial homepage to load as well. 3. It's hard to distinguish between the heads and subheads on the left--maybe bolding the heads would make them pop a little better?
