MediaMix: Have You Heard? By Phyllis Levy Mandell May 3, 2012 Teens can get two free audiobook downloads each week this summer for ten weeks through SYNC, a joint venture between audiobook publishers and AudioFile Magazine. Each week, kids can listen to one popular young adult title paired with a classic that connects with its theme from the top audiobook publishers absolutely free.
This is a GREAT deal! Two audiobooks a week during the summer, one YA book and one classic novel, they are downloaded in MP3 format, and you can keep them for as long as you need to!
For anyone who enjoys audiobooks, I echo the recommendation. I've done this for several summers and love it. The YA books catch you up with what's current with your teen readers, and the classics catch you up with what you thought you knew already! :-) Go directly to http://www.audiobooksync.com/free-syn-downloads/schedule-of-free-downloads/ for weekly downloads.
of course you would Do you know a kid with disabilities who wants to be "typical" that could use a little more of your time and creativity? ...almost all of us do "I'm Tyler...don't be surprised" is a peek into a real kid's life where people just like you have realized what a kid CAN do is much more important than what he can't.
I know Tyler and he is indeed a wonderful motivational speaker and the video really hits home how important it is to look beyond someone's disability and look to their abilities! Thank you for sharing this out, Chandra!
Back in the pre-digital days of video creation, directors without the cash to commission original soundtracks to their films had to rely on library music. The folks who put together these massive libraries owned all the rights to the music outright, so it was easy to license recordings for creators to use in their films, TV, and radio pieces.
We have Soundzabound as a paid service in our district. This service is pretty lousy, and there are many free sources of music that are just as good as our paid service. The post above gives some suggestions where to start looking for them.
