Tim Knight on 06 Sep 12HI, This is a good example of a starter for a student to do an exploration. However, the problem here is the "Use of mathematics" criteria E. The level of math ash "to be commensurate with the HL". This is a good starter but a student would need to drive this on further to do well in crit E.
