"Came here looking for a solution to this same problem and presume others will. I found it somewhere else but just want to share the answer! go to the SPOTLIGHT search and type in Stickies. The app is still on your mac, it just doesn't show in the dock or the Launchpad. It opened and all my lovely notes appeared as they were in my Lion install. have a nice day!"
