"We are on a search for who we are. What does it mean to be a human? Can there be more than one kind of human? In fact, what exactly is a human?" In this article on Huffington Post, Kevin Kelly addresses the fact that we, as humans, do not really know who we are as well as questions the authenticity of what is around us. Growing technology and the internet make people question their identities even more, as they may enable us to change our physical features, as well as make people question what is real. Upon further research, I have found that Kevin Kelly was a co-founder of the Wired magazine and has recently gotten a book, What Technology Wants, published. I feel that this online article is a very reliable source based on the aforementioned information about the author and I to think about the questions that Kelly brought up while I read Physics of the Future. "Surgeons at Boston Children's Hospital have developed a way to help children born with half a heart to essentially grow a whole one-by marshaling the body's natural capacity to heal and develop." This site shows some current prototypes of ideas that Kaku predicted in his book. It shows us that there are medical advancements, which we thought were not possible until much farther into the future, functioning almost flawlessly in our current society. This website will be a valuable resource in this project because it explains multiple advancements that have been made in the last few years and will be perfected in the near future. This article comes from a website that we know is reliable from previous research.

In our era of instant gratification, the world of medicine seems like an outlier. The path from a promising discovery to an effective treatment often takes a decade or more.But from that process-of fits and starts, progress and setbacks and finally more progress-grow the insights and advances that change the course of medicine.

Here is another great source that I found. It is another government website that is reliable, and completely full of facts. It gives some new perspectives on how to grasp how small a nanometer and how small the nanoscale really is. It also lists several ways that nanotechnology can be used. This is a site that will increase almost everybody's knowledge on nanotechnology.

Great page! A lot of good, strong facts. I liked the size part about just how big nanotechnology is, compared to a human hair.

This site lists some possibilities for renewable energy in the future. It gives predictions for 50 years from now. This site is reliable because "big think", the website it is on, is a reliable website for research and technology and cites its own sources.

"Rather than being programmed to anticipate every possible answer or action needed to perform a function or set of tasks, cognitive computing systems are trained using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms to sense, predict, infer and, in some ways, think." This source provides a method for the bottom-up approach to AI, which is letting the computer learn like an infant instead of teaching it how to respond to certain cases. Cognitive computing will most likely be mentioned in our project when we talk about the technological singularity. This article is trustworthy because it is written by IBM, one of the world innovators in technology and computing.

This website specifically describes the currently known ideas about how we could produce an Interstellar Spaceship. This website is reliable because of the fact that all of the information given in this website was taken from a conference held by DARPA or the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. This website gives the different ideas currently being thought of and furthermore, gives a brief explanation of each one. This website is wonderful to give someone the knowledge of what current ideas to produce a working Interstellar Spaceship are out there.

"The "ink" in the bioprinting process employed by Organovo is composed of spheres packed with tens of thousands of human cells. These spheres are assembled or "printed" on sheets of organic biopaper." This is a very interesting video on how organ printing is accomplished. It describes how the use of bio-ink can enable us to create a functioning structure out of thousands of human cells, and it does this through clear descriptions and footage. It gives you a look inside of a lab where 3D organ printing is being created and introduces you to a scientist who is highly experienced in the field. We know it is reliable because in the description it tells us all about the man who made these predictions, Dr. Gabor Forgacs. This will be highly beneficial during our research by helping us understand how 3D printing works.

This pdf gave some very helpful information on SETI. I gained much knowledge about the background of this theme and will definitely be able to use what I have learned while writing my paragraph about this theme. To make sure that this was a reliable source, I did a bit of research on the author. Dr. Steven Garber is the founder of the Washington Institute and is the Scholar-in-Residence of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, leading me to believe that this pdf is a very dependable source. "A trip to the moon on gossamer strings? A "partial" space elevator that could carry satellites to geosynchronous orbit might be just the ticket." This source gives a great insight on how a space elevator would be created an operated. It has great information on much it may cost, how it would be used, and how it could even be possible. This is a reliable source, as National Geographic is a reliable company. I believe this resource could be very useful for our themes and research.

The elevator, which is predicted to be 35,786 km in height, may be able to become a reality.

This article is explaining what a space elevator is, how it works, and and what it's place will be in 2100, or sometime in the future. We can definitely use this information for making predictions about space travel in our project. I like this source because it was not just a website talking about small details in space elevator construction. This website was very detailed in explaining the science of space elevators. This shows how space elevators will become popular and normal by 2100.

This video is a good oversight of wearable technology and it covers many points within the topic such as; water proof gear, wrist worn tech, and bulky vs sleek. This would be a great video to start out our research with because of the possibilities it lays out for us.
