Green Eyed Bee and The Honey bees Nature Photo - 0 views

  •
There was so many honeybees at the community garden I went to yesterday! I was doing all I could to keep up with the honeybees and take other photographs. This is on a squash flower and I gently pulled back on of the peddles to see what was inside. Many bees were inside doing their thing!

This is my white Holiday Cactus. Not a true cactus, it resembled a cactus and the species likes to bloom in winter time. Being dormant the rest of the year. The leaves itself is striking and gives a different look in the garden.

Sparrow Birds Working For Their Meal - mrsroadrunner's posterous - 0 views

  •
Sparrow Birds Working For Their Meal . I admit, it is ridiculous the money we spend on the wildlife here. The gardens and such to attract the wildlife so I can photograph them. I justify this expense as entertainment, for really Guy and I can sit for hours just talking and watching all the wildlife we work so hard to attract to our place. We stopped in at the Madras Livestock Auction where they opened up a feed store. We need bird seed in big time bulk. The sparrows are the main birds we feed here, but without the sparrows the other birds would not be attracted. As soon as we walked into the feed store we saw this seedblock. We thought this would slow down the birds a little, making them work for their meal. It has, and offered me a great photography opportunity! We are more than happy to try out such products if, and I mean if, it is cost affective!

Many Faces Of The Dahlia - mrsroadrunner's blog - 0 views

It is no secrete that we are avid gardeners. 99.9% of the cultivated flower photographs I take is of our own flowers. The small 1% of the cultivated flower photographs I take that are not ours, I will say they are not grown organically by us. Read more at my blog.

Flickr: Lincoln Park / Garfield Park Conservatory - Chicago - 0 views

  •
A group of photos taken in two places that Chicagoans find convenient, when they escape from the winter: largish domed gardens, a little big to just be called "greenhouses"; these places have full grown trees living inside of them. Emphasis, chosen by those submitting, seems to have been on shots taken very close in - "macros".
