The green stink bug, (Chinavia halaris), is commonly found in Northern America, infesting seeds, grains, nuts, and fruits. This pest variety infests on an extensive array of host plants, in both nymph and adult stages, categorizing them as "polyphagous" insects.

Chinch bugs are small insects that usually infest lawns as well as cause damage to crops such as wheat, oats or corn. These pests have hard bodies about 1/6 of an inch thick when they are adults and two pairs of wings on their back.

The fact that these midges are so small makes it very hard to identify them. Most victims of their bite, usually don't even notice them until it's too late when only the stark evidence of their bloodsucking nature is revealed through skin welts and legions.
