Admissions Office of Colgate. "Visit to Colgate." Personal interview. 15 Mar. 2014.
I've discovered that visiting colleges is the number one way to know if a college is right for you or not. Colgate was my number one choice before I visited it, and I was worried that my first impression was going to change that. Arriving there I drove through miles of fields with amish farmers. The weather was cloudy, and sub-par. All of a sudden, almost happening simultaneously, we came to a beautiful campus and the sun came out. I spent the next four hours on campus and loved every second of it. The tour was well done and beautiful, the buildings were phenomenal, the cafeteria food was good, and I even sat in on a class. Sitting in on a class was also a great thing to do. I sat in on Dr. Gray's Intro to Philosophical Problems class. The entire class was engaged, debating, and the professor was energetic, keeping the students going. This experience exceeded my expectations. My original worry was pushed aside, Colgate remains my number one school.
