Edc 638A Action Research-2006 - 1 views

  • You will find that we have moved beyond student-centered learning to community-centered learning. A great deal of your educational experiences will be in and about communities. Your peers are not only co-learners. They are your learning consultants. Each of us will serve as a consultant to the other people in our community. We will listen to your descriptions of your communities of practice and your understandings of your identity within these communities. Then as a group we will engage you in a reflective process that helps you think about the way things are and how things might be. We will think with you about how best to engage with the people in your community to move you and them towards evolving goals.

LIFE Center- - Research Highlight: Learning for oneself or a computer agent - 0 views

  •
this is a sort blog about a finding that students will spend more time teaching an agent that will then compete with other student's agent then learning for themselves.  It is a way to use technology to make every student a teacher (which is my quick fix for schools--find ways to make everyone a teacher).

Great resource for the leadership courses--I have suggested the webinar to students but the paper and the videos on this page would be great material to discussion around the issue of leadership.

This is a library of video talks that have been given at Claremont Graduate University.  There many that could used as materials in action research as well as other classes.  There are number that focus on what is credible evidence.  And there are resources that address many of the action research problems that students select.
