I like that it identifies DEFIANCE as a major infraction. Chronic missed homework/unprepared as a major infraction contradicts our current plan/procedures. Are we looking to go in this direction?

I like the specific definitions of the infractions. Limits" room for interpretation" to some degree.

No just an example. Not looking to use homework this way at all. We need to define defiance/insubordination as a group and see if we can come to consensus.

Most of PBIS work on first two days.

I like that this proposal takes the work to 2 days.

Two days is good. Like last year, it's difficult to get through the trainings with the new sixth grade and have them seated by 8:55 on that first day. We need some time with them that first day before we go off to the assembly. Not sure if that's possible.

Love this one! It supports our current philosophy - with the exception of the insubordination (which is a change sought by many staff members). Great graphic and very helpful.

For teams to use at weekly review?

Would each homeroom teacher keep his/her records for his/her homeroom students? I feel like we are getting away from connecting with our homerooms. (We did this REALLY well during year 1.)

Lindy has developed a similar form for grade 6 (which we would certainly be willing to share) but for the reteaching piece more than for MIR purposes. I think both are really valuable for team discussions. We intend to use it in Google Drive and discuss at team meetings.
