This is a fellow teacher's bog. She posts a lot of great sites that you can go to to find fun interactive games that students can do either on the SMARTboard, on individual computers, or in small groups!
I really like this website for professional development articles and videos. It has some great ideas on how to incorporate technology, green classrooms, and other great information that might be useful for any classroom!
I read about this site in one of my education magazines. It has online textbooks that you can use for free. You can also "make" your own textbooks that fit better into your classroom! I haven't been able to play around with it too much, but it's worth a try!
Great for Physical Educators and all teachers. If you need a lesson idea, a quick hitter game (tag), equipment or to research a topic...this is your site!
All sorts of math, science, and lanuage arts activities that can be used on the smartboard. There are science activities for the food chain, health and growth, plants and animals and much more. 4th grade - there is a an activity for friction and forces in motion that made a great formative acitivity last year.
This is a website that was very fun for my students last year. The ready made poems are appropriate for 4-6 but the blank magnetics could be used for any grade. Students are given scrambled magnets that they have to try to put in sentences to create a poem. New this year is a blank set of magnet that you can add your own words to.
