I'd never browse the book collection that New Line Cinema is wanting to function as next Harry Potter and if the picture is an indication of what is ahead. I am not sure i wish to see part 2 nor 3, should they ever get made.
I could somewhat see why the Catholic League is protesting this film, in the finish its a lot to accomplish about not a great film.

Now what I liked about the movie, The casting of Sam Elliott as Lee Scoresby was exactly what the position required. You quickly realize that he's far more that what he seems at first, when you see him in the movie.
