A promising report on a potential reduction in spam traffic. I'm very under impressed on any supposed actions to reduce spam so far. My opinion is that email boxes are exactly backwards because every company believes it is an imperative function. No, I believe every email should require a pre-authorization which big business will fight to the end.... This strikes me as politically motivated

(Incidentally, Markey authored the "Do Not Track" bill to stop online companies from tracking children.) These topic seem are important on how its educated us about what technology does to the nonprofit or government. some of the things they Author point out were impactful, innovation, and tranformative all these words were used for the change a technolgy could do to the alter the nonprofit or government programs. i think that it useful to have these technology that support our ideas about negative impact that could damage nonprofit work in some ways.

Although this article is a a couple years old I think it raises many good points in regards to the public sectors use of technology compared to that in the Business world. I think the author was correct in his assumptions that inefficiencies in the technology are in large part due to the lack of competition in the government. Perhaps, if the government were to do like the article suggests, and base their e-government procedures off of a business model than things may run a bit more easily.

This article discusses the changes being implemented into the nonprofit sector in the technology area. New technologies are being used to assist in accomplishing the organization's mission statement as well as using funding to its greatest potential and maximizing funding coming in. "In a release, Kristen Fulks, Blackbaud principal consultant and another co-author of the paper, said that 'We think it is very important to share fundraising technology trends with the nonprofit community, yet the fundamentals familiar to any fundraiser still apply,' she said. 'With the ever-demanding challenges of the economy and other influences, it is even more critical to get donors engaged faster, rather than just using technology for technology's sake.'"
