With over 500 million users, Facebook is the undisputed king of social media. Many users are now turning to Facebook first to learn about businesses and organizations. So, how can a non-profit make the most of Facebook?

A detailed list of things non-profits can do to improve the way they use facebook. I'm sure it is surprising for organizations to find out how much work is truly involved in keeping a social media account up to date and relevant.

In an attempt to improve health care and reduce long-term expenses, the U.S. government is in the process of digitalizing patient medical records. Even though this new system is working for the Mayo Clinic and other large health organizations, I'm skeptical that smaller non-profits will have the resources and correct strategies to make this transition with limited help from the government.

A nonprofit organization in Pittsford has been given a grant from the Ronald McDonald House to buy 2 ipads. They are going to use these ipads to help kids who are developmentally challenged learn. They are going to focus on helping children whose motor and verbal skills make it hard for them to use other learning technologies. An ipad is portable and has numerous learning programs on it.
